Q. What sort of integration is there?

A. Most likely, none. We have access to a dozen or so POS partners, and your course is likely one of them.

Q. Do you need to tie into our merchant account?

A. No, Golfpay is a payment aggregator so we will direct deposit into your bank account.

Q. How does green fee pricing work through the Golfpay channel?

A. You control pricing and as long as it’s not more than your online rate, then you have satisfied the pricing requirements. Offering discounts will always increase bookings as you know, but you control that.

Q. Who owns the customer data?

A. If a golfer signs up to Golfpay from your golf course marketing efforts, then you become the home course member that owns that set of customer data. Golfpay does not market hot deals or self-serving rewards programs, so you have more control over customer retention with a captive audience.

Q. Who handles refunds?

A. Within 24 hours of scheduled tee times, both the booking deposit and green fees are non-refundable, unless there is a problem at the golf course with unplayable course conditions due to weather. In this case, a digital rain check can be issued from your golf course dashboard with one click. (Authorized login required)

Q. What if they don’t pay through Golfpay?

A. They can pay directly through the pro shop, however the originating golfer loses their booking deposit of $2.50 per player, and that round is not counted toward loyalty rounds.

Q. What is the difference between Golfpay and other tee time providers?

A. Some have been calling us the Anti-Third Party. The ONLY similarity is that we have a reservation system as well, but the way we make money is by giving you access to the Pivotal Golf Course Platform that organically helps you improve retention, quickly grow your database, while making you less 3rd party dependent. We don’t ask for ANY bartered tee times! Ours is completely performance based, while allowing your course to be at the forefront of mobile check-ins.

Q. Will someone be here from Golfpay to assist in training?

A. Yes, Golfpay will be present for all golfers who arrive at the golf course from tee times booked through Golfpay until the golf course is completely up to speed. Estimated 1 to 2 days.

Q. How do we communicate with golfers on promotions, course conditions, special announcements, etc. if they are not coming into the pro shop? We don’t want to lose touch with golfers and we like that everyone checks into the pro shop.

A. Consumers overwhelmingly have chosen the “convenience” of mobile check in, over coming into the pro shop to check in. However, we’ll help you converge the need to communicate with golfers, and the golfer desire for a mobile check in.   This will be addressed in a way after beta that will improve your communication through golfer notifications.

Q. How does your built in marketing and promo tool work?

A. Each time a golfer registers through your course, your banner always displays in the mobile reservation app while searching tee times to serve as a constant reminder of their experience with your course. Additionally, we also own millions of downloads through our family of Golf GPS apps and will brand your course the same way within those apps if you are a Golfpay golf course.

Q. How do we get notified that a golfer is checked in?

A. You will be notified through our Pivotal web app so anyone from your golf course who has login credentials can see who is checked in & paid, who is pending and who has cancelled. Pivotal is web-based, so you can monitor golfer status from any device with a data connection. We made the interface super easy to navigate on any size or type of device. There is no data entry required AT ALL. Everything can be managed with one or two clicks.

Q. What is the soonest someone can check in and make payment through Golfpay?

A. 2 Hours, then two more reminders with the last one sent 10 minutes prior to the tee time.

Q. How does the loyalty program work through Golfpay?

A. You set the number of rounds that a golfer needs to play to receive a free round from 1 to 20. It’s 1 click and you are set. It’s that easy. All loyalty credits are issued automatically to golfers as a form of payment. You don’t need to do anything on your end except to mark it correctly in your POS when this type of check in comes through.
